Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched a major scholarship scheme worth Rs 25 billion, which will help deserving students to study in higher education institutions of the country like LUMS and GIK.
This initiative of the Punjab government will ensure that the educational fees of these students are fully paid, which will give them an opportunity to focus on their education without financial problems. In addition to paying the fees, the scheme will also include special prizes and awards which will be awarded to students who have achieved the best academic results.
During the launch, Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of providing equal opportunities to male and female students, and said that every talented student should have the opportunity to succeed regardless of their background. He appreciated the hard work and achievements of the students across Punjab and highlighted the determination of the government to bring significant reforms in the education sector.
New initiatives he introduced include a School Mellon program, which will provide students with proper nutrition in school, and announced the introduction of electric bikes to facilitate transportation for students. In addition, a special scholarship for FSC students will also be awarded so that they can continue their studies.
Maryam Nawaz has also announced the plan to establish Pakistan’s first university in Nonawaz Sharif IT City which will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), which is an important step towards modernizing education and technology in the country.
Apart from the educational aspects, Maryam Nawaz also visited the flood affected areas in Rajanpur, where she met the local people and reviewed the damage. He assured the people that the government is determined to provide their help and necessary support.
Through these initiatives, Maryam Nawaz is not only promoting education but also showing determination to meet the wider needs of the people of Punjab.
